Liverpool has shrunk
that is a positive
After we got our common rights and income we built the first dock and the population began to grow. With the available work Liverpools population continued expanding but by the 20th century, unemployment was increasing fast. By 1961 with a population of 745,000 the industrial and agricultural structures of the city, which for centuries had provisioned and provided employment for the city had gone. We were swamped by an unsustainable unemployed population. Now in 2009 our population is 437,000.
