Tidal Dreams
An elemental journey into watery futures as the sun sets
A large group met at the Pier Head and took a journey over Liverpo ols famous passage of water. Walking along the waterfront, looking back to Liverpool as the sun sets people shared their experience of the river and personal history with each other. For some, rediscovering the waterfront lead to showed just how much Liverpool has and is changing. The group then all went to the Shanghai Palace to eat, watch the reflections on the water and share more of their views on what they had experienced.
I often forget how good the view is from this side
Is the river cold on your side as well?
(Group of young people who were swimming and asked what we were doing)
I don't like history walks this was different and I have never met so many lovely people
It was 15 years since I took a ferry and I work on the other side. must do it more regularly
Time passed very quickly I had no idea there were walks on the Birkenhead side.
I like your idea of us all being experts and helping to make the experience.
I feel more inspired than I often do at an art gallery
I thought I was coming to something about secret watercourses but then you told us we were the experts and could learn from each other, it was great fun and it was amazing every one was so nice was I dreaming about the water courses?
"What a lovely evening this was".
"Thank you so much for organising this. It's so nice to attend something you wouldn't normally and have it all organised for you. I've met a lot of new people today."
"Liverpool has changed so much over the past 7 years since I moved here. But a lot of the areas still seem isolated from each other. A lot of regeneration is happening in the south but the north is getting ignored."
"So many people wondered why I would move to Liverpool, but I really love it."
