The Spaces Between: Reorient your city
Reorient your city
The group meet at Moorfields Station where they were issued with a nameless 1909 map of the area between Dale St and Tithebarn St. They were sent out in pairs to solve cryptic questions and fill in street names. As the pairs discovered forgotten streets and corners, they revealed the new additions to the map as well as the traces of the past. The first meeting point was the one of Liverpool's oldest taverns, Ye Hole In Ye Wall. The group swapped answers, looked at ancient maps and drank from specially made 'pool' glasses. After walking around the area we ambled onto The Lion Tavern where landlord, John O'Dowd, showed great hospitality by granting the picnic party a drink each.
